I’m Amy.
Since I first sat at a piano at age five, music has been my passion and my obsession—a passion that flourished over 25 years. After earning my Master of Music in Piano Performance and Pedagogy, I embarked on a rewarding journey as a music educator. I taught a diverse range of lessons—from classical performance and improvisation to music appreciation—in settings that welcomed students aged 2 to 75. My career took me across four Canadian provinces and even to London, UK, where each new experience enriched my understanding of different cultures and life stories.
In 2021, a transformative moment arrived: I became a mother to a young child. This life change inspired me to explore new horizons, leading me to complete a 16-month Full-Stack Software Development program. I soon found myself working on a proof-of-concept application in the healthcare space. While I enjoyed the creative, detail-oriented challenge of front-end development—a natural extension of my background in music—I discovered that my true passion lay in the human side of technology. I loved collaborating with clients, diving into new industries, and iterating through ideas to develop everything from initial wireframes and prototypes to fully realized codebases.
Realizing that the teacher in me was still very much alive, I quickly pursued Google’s UX/UI Certification to hone my skills further. Now, in 2025, I find myself channeling the same collaborative spirit and commitment to growth that I had as an educator. I partner with small businesses to create websites that are not only visually stunning but also deeply user-focused—helping each client articulate their goals and bring their unique vision to life.
