The First Steps
The design process began with researching author websites and noting effective elements. While some prioritized creativity over usability, I opted for a simple, clear design for easy navigation. This led to the creation of an information architecture, followed by a Lo-Fi wireframe in Figma.

Design Inspiration
Anne’s books are the star of this website and she is blessed to have talented illustrators whose pictures showcase the spirit of each story. As I sketched ideas in Figma, it quickly became clear that her book covers would serve as the primary inspiration for the website’s design. To ensure a cohesive and accessible colour scheme, I used Adobe’s Colour Wheel. By uploading a screenshot of my wireframe, I was able to generate a palette that complements the visual identity of the books while meeting accessibility standards.

The Final Product!
